Depressed Girl

I get depressed for no obvious reason . I can take a nap and when I wake up I`m sad for an eternity. Nothing happens significantly before I go to bed to affect my emotions. I just wake up with an utterly sad and no hope for living a worthy life. When depression hits my soul it hits it hard and nothing is what it seems it used to be. Nothing is valued for what I use to think it was. 

Depression for me is sitting in a field with sunflowers and tranquility but I am in a glass tight box. The glass is so hard to break but so easy to break at the same time. Nothing makes sense when I am in this state, everything is contradicting. I sit in the glass tight box as an onlooker and not one who experiences or a living soul but I feel as if I am a stagnant soul with no purpose in life. I sit in the box and I watch life. I get to see all but do none.

When I am not depressed life is active and I am a living moving soul with a purpose in life. Depression is a glass box that I and only I can break with the power of my soul and meditation.

Indigoism

Indigoism is a concept or a way of life it is not a religion. Basically indigo is a color or shades of blue and purple. The color indigo is the description of the person`s aura. So an Indigo Child`s aura is indigo or shades of blue or purple. Indigo children have been on the earth since the beginning of time but people have started to classify them in the last hundred years. The Indigo child is a person that has an overall fulfillment or a destined place in life bigger than the materials of this world.

To classify yourself as an Indigo child majority of indigo children are misdiagnosed with ADD or ADHD. The children usually have trouble listening to authority figures and strive to show other people who they are and why they deserve their position in life.Indigo children strive to become more spiritual and intuitive. There are three basic traits or types of Indigo children have which is empathetic, psychic and spiritual. Some traits are stronger than other traits in every Indigo. An empathetic Indigo is one that focuses on empathy and saving the world and helping others. A psychic Indigo focuses or have the abilities of supernatural powers. The last trait is the spiritual Indigo, they usually focus or have the abilities to channel spirits and foresight.

To conclude this information Indigo children are enlightened beings or souls. These souls were born with this trait and can not be ignored. Being an Indigo can only be explored and learned to be used to fulfill your destiny in becoming a spiritual soul or being.

Well the meaning of the term “Power Trip” is, an action undertaken chiefly for the gratification associated with the exercise of power over another or others. So in the video of Power Trip the woman that J.Cole is in love with has pwer over him. This means that J.Cole is under a power trip. In the video J.Cole does insaine things to receive love from the woman that plays his love in the video. The killing of Miguel which is J.Cole`s lover`s boyfriend is an action that J.Cole took while under the power trip of his love. The video is amazing! This video takes the lyrics of the song to a whole new level. The hook of “Power Trip” is : “Would you believe me if I said I’m in love?

The hook states that J.Cole is in love with the woman and that he needs and wants her to want him. He states that  she has him up all night which means he is so in love he cannot keep it in and cannot sleep.The video is an interpration of the lyrics but on a whole new level. The video took the lyrics to the extreme and gave the lyrics more meaning. The killing of Miguel was en extreme measure to gain the love from J.Cole`s lover.

I feel that the video is a very good representation of the song “Power Trip” . When I listened to the song i felt that J.Cole was very in love with the woman and in the hook Miguel explained more of how Miguel was feeling in the way he sung the hook. In the explicit version of the video it really showed how much J.Cole loved this womanbecause he was in the strip club and he did not pay attention to the strippers he as just thinking about his love.

 Overall the video is a good interpretation of the song “PowerTrip”. The director of the video taks the lyrics from the song and puts an extreme to the mening of it and I love it. This video shows how much words can be visually interperated and represented. All viewers of this blog should go watch this video and listen to the song Power Trip.

This song focuses on how society as a whole is vain.Kendrick Lamar`s lyrics focus on how he or she looks,what type of clothes they have on or what brand of clothes he or she has on,and how society forgets about what is important and frees their soul.Vanity or Vain means having no real value,marked by futility or ineffectiveness,or having or showing undue or excessive pride in ones appearance or achievements.

Being vain is something that many people struggle with.Society in the twenty-first century are exactly like the song says “Vanity Slaves”. The population in today’s society show strong characteristics of being vain or conceited.Everyone struggles with being a vanity slave in today’s society. Being a vanity slave locks up your soul and spirit. Being free without any vanity is almost impossible. Like in the end of the song Mr.Lamar says, “We all vanity slaves
